What makes us different
A great deal of what is offered to security executives is, on inspection, a sales channel. Conferences sell floor space. Communities sell access. Research is commissioned by the vendor whose product it happens to recommend.
We are structured to avoid that. We are a nonprofit. Our funding comes from members and from sponsors who accept that sponsorship does not buy a seat in the room. Sessions are unrecorded and unattributed. Nobody is selling anything to anyone.
What is left is the thing that is genuinely hard to find: a dozen people who have the same job you do, saying what actually happened.
